Seniors Craving For the Four-Letter Experience on Valentine's Day!

By Steve Andersen

So, the big day is just about to arrive in a week's time and people are already going gaga over the four letter word that promises heavenly bliss. Love, they call it and even die for it. Love-germs find their way from the bottom of people's hearts, right through glossy, super cute gifts, through ecards and over-priced hangouts.

It's not only the fools who rush in, but older folks, supposedly wiser with age, that also commit this wonderful folly. Seniors are equally excited when it comes to online dating and finding a virtual partner. With the Internet becoming a major area of concentration, singles over 50 are hooked to the Net hunting for 'friends' lasting a lifetime. Social networking sites are no longer the hunting grounds for restless youth. A quick look through Facebook's numerous dating applications reveals a great many wrinkled or Botox-treated faces showing up in the 50+ searches. What's more, most of them are actually 'looking for' dating and relationships! They are the ones who compete with their younger counterparts and sometimes outrun them too, in terms of soppy wall messages, ecards, sexy gifts, or even super-superstitious virals which can make you lose your 'beloved' if you don't forward it to 20 other people!

Sociologists are quick to explain trends in human behavior. The explanations they offer are quite plausible. The baby boomers of the United States are the most privileged generation today. They have labored their way to success and are all set to gorge on its fruits. Being a well-off generation, most of them possess a Mac or a laptop which connects them to other consenting adults. Besides, they are experienced in the game and Valentine's Day brings back their own sweet memories of love, togetherness... and that kind of stuff.

Gift companies, resorts and other commercial ventures are all set to cash in on this growing phenomenon. A lot of tours and daytime trips are offered for senior couples. Besides, there are many options for frugal fun which include going for a quiet romantic picnic, a visit to an art gallery or a museum, amusement parks, fairs or even a bookstore.

Lastly, it's never too late to fall in love! As Jeff Bridges, the boring Mathematics professor in 'The Mirror Has Two Faces' tells Barbara, "I don't care if you're pretty, I love you anyway!"... he says a lot more than he means. It's all about a companionship that leaves us happy at the end of the day, and the seniors are realizing this like never before.

Steve Andersen is a writer with a cynical and sarcastic take on modern day relationships. He has a special interest in the ecards industry and follows up on any new development that takes place. At the moment, his cynical eye is hovering over the ecards of 123Greetings.com, the largest free ecard site on the planet.

Online Dating For Baby Boomers - Tips For Successful Results

By Aelicia Anderson

The landscape of the dating world has changed a lot since the time many of us first started dating. While some things are being done differently today, they don't have to be scary. This article will share tips to make your online dating experience fun, exciting and most of all, successful.

A dating service is not a new idea; they've been around for several decades. What's different about today's dating service is the vehicle they use to connect people to one another.

There was a time when online dating was not looked on as favorably as it is today. In its infancy, online dating was sometimes seen as the only way less desirable people could get a date. That's no longer the case. Online dating is growing rapidly, and is used by people of every age. It crosses all the lines of race, religion, political affiliation and net worth.

Even though you start out in the comfort and safety of your own home, typically the goal of online dating is to find someone you want to meet in the real world. Caution and safety are primary considerations throughout any dating process, but are particularly important where online dating is concerned.

When you begin looking for an online dating service you'll want to look for sites that offer several screening filters to validate identification. This helps determine if the person signing up is really who they say they are.

Browse through several online dating sites before settling on one. If you do a search on Google for online dating sites, there are over 3 million. Don't let that overwhelm you. Just pick a few and spend a few minutes on each one. You can also find review sites that may be helpful in assisting you with your decision. You may want to consider signing up with more than one site.

Be honest when creating your profile. Remember that you're looking for someone to start a relationship with and you certainly don't want to base it on lies and deception. For best results, you'll have to include a picture; uploading several would be even better. Make sure it's a recent one, not one from years ago.

Make sure your personality shines through in your correspondence. It's a little tougher to do online since you don't see facial expressions and hear intonations, but with a little practice and the help of some emoticons and online shorthand, you'll become much better at it very quickly. Of course, if you have a web cam, so much the better.

Don't let your profile paint a boring picture. List your passions, your hobbies, your taste in food, movies, music, authors or artists. You want people to understand who you are and what you're looking for.

You should never be uncomfortable with your dating experience. If a conversation becomes awkward or offensive, get out of it. Most sites will allow you to block members if you choose to. Don't hesitate to use that feature to eliminate unwanted correspondence or contact from a particular member.

There's no need to be upset or feel offended if someone you're interested in doesn't respond. There are way too many people to choose from to let a few no-responses discourage you. Think of them as first dates that didn't work out and move on.

Online dating doesn't have to end in a romantic encounter. Many people just want to keep things casual and remain friends. An online dating service can provide them the opportunity to meet people they would otherwise never have met.

Whatever your goal is in the relationship department, online dating can help you achieve it. Be safe and sensible, but most of all, have fun!

Important Dating Tips for Women Over 40

By Pam Baldwin

It can be tough enough for women over 40 to date, but it's even more difficult for them to find good dating advice. The first step is for a woman over 40 to be sure to dress her age. She might feel intimidated and worry that men are more interested in the younger women. However, she should not try to dress like them, lest she look foolish. She should wear clothing that is appropriate for her age group and body type, rather than wear the younger styles, which are often skintight and much too revealing.

Women over 40 should also be sure to act their age. Even if she feels intimidated by the younger women, it does not mean she should try to compete by dancing on tabletops and guzzling alcohol. It is much sexier to see a woman who is comfortable with herself, exhibiting characteristics like grace, dignity, and wisdom.

Next, women over 40 should always remember their role in the relationship. If she is older than her partner, it does not mean that she should mother him. Even though some women are naturally caring and nurturing, she should remember that her man already has a mother, and doesn't need another. This means she should refrain from nagging like a mother would do, as that's a great way to scare a guy off!

One advantage women over 40 have is that they are often more comfortable with their bodies and more in touch with their sensuality than their younger counterparts. They shouldn't be afraid to be sexual and amorous with the right man. He will be so impressed that he'll soon forget about past lovers!

Women should also embrace their intelligence. There is no need to play dumb to impress a man; the best way to impress him is to show that you're his intellectual equal. This will help to set an older woman with more life experience and wisdom apart from the younger ones, who may be lacking maturity and poise.

A woman over 40 who is dating should re-evaluate her standards. It probably isn't practical to want the same things in a man at 40 as you did at 20. Sometimes it can be advantageous to expand your horizons - you never know who you could meet by doing so!

Older women should not be afraid to flirt with a man they're interested in. How else do you expect him to know that you're interested? Flirting can also be a good way of communicating that you're confident and know what - and who - you want.

Although it's a bit clich้, the importance of being yourself really cannot be overstated. A woman over 40 should be proud of the life she's lived, the experiences and insight she's gained, and the person she's become. There's nothing more attractive to a man than a woman who loves and nurtures herself.

Senior Dating - Is Senior Online Dating For You

By Jason King

Senior dating has given a new lease of life for millions of senior citizens worldwide who are looking for love and friendship. It's easy to make new friends and meet love interests online, all you need is a home computer and an internet connection. Once you have both of these you have the potential of communicating with eligible singles from all of the world.

The first thing you need to do is select a senior online dating service. There are many of these available to you so you will have to do a bit of research to find one that offers you a good opportunity of meeting someone online. The first step will be to find a senior dating web site that offers you a free trial.

With your free trial you'll be able to test the service out first so you can see just what it offers you. If any service wants you to pay anything before you can use it, or ask for any payment details before you can use it then leave the web site as soon as possible. There are plenty of senior internet dating services that allow you to use them without paying or giving them any information about yourself.

Once you have found a service that you feel will give you a good chance of meeting someone you can create your free account then start browsing the profiles. What you'll be looking for at first is how many senior singles you have living in your area, and how many of these singles have their photo attached to their profile. The more singles you find with a photo on their profile the more chance you have of interacting. Singles who post their photo are more serious about meeting someone, and you'll have a better chance of a response from them.

If you want more singles to contact you then you'll also need to put your photo on your profile. Singles with a photo on their senior personal ad get up to 20 times more messages sent to them. The reasons for this are: No one is going to contact someone who won't show their face; senior singles can choose to only have profiles with photos in their search results so profiles without photos don't hardly ever get seen.

You'll only need to upgrade your membership when you want to start sending emails. Sending emails is what you'll need to do to show other singles that you're serious about some online interaction. You can personalize your message so you'll get a better chance of a reply.

Once you've started your senior online dating you'll soon start getting on with it. It might seem a bit daunting at first, but everyone was in your position once, and you just have to remember that everyone is a member of an online dating service because they want to be contacted.

So have fun and completely enjoy yourself. You coul even feel eighteen again.

A Senior's Guide to Choosing the Right Dating Service

By Aelicia Anderson

Do you find the online dating world intimating? Have you been hesitating about trying online dating because you just don't know where to start? Never fear! With these helpful tips you'll be dating confidently and finding your ideal mate in no time.

1. Be Clear About Your Intentions

Before you begin, spend some time thinking about the type of relationship you are looking for. Online dating sites cater to many different needs so make sure you know ahead of time whether you're looking for a long-lasting commitment or an intimate encounter. This will greatly impact which site you choose.

2. Plan a budget

You can choose to spend a lot of money on online dating or no money at all. Your budget and preferences will help you decide whether to sign on to a free or a fee-based site. Take some time to understand the pros and cons of both before you make a commitment. You might even consider trying out both options to see what works best for you. Remember, it may take several months of online dating before you meet someone significant. Make sure you choose a site that will be affordable long-term.

3. Think about Safety Precautions

Many sites go through a great deal of effort to ensure that your personal information and privacy are secure. Before you commit to a site, look to see if they have a privacy policy posted and that they only let members view your profile. You'll also want to protect yourself by limiting the amount of personal information you give out and the amount of detail you provide in your profile. As a general rule, you shouldn't disclose your last name, address and phone number in your profile.

4. Save time by Being Matched Up

A lot of people don't have the time or patience to search through profiles to find the right person. If you're one of these people, you might want to look into an online dating site that provides compatibility testing. After giving you a series of personality tests, you'll be sent a list of compatible matches. They do all the leg work.

5. Ask your Friends

Don't hesitate to ask your friends about their experience with online dating. They might be able to give you some recommendations of which sites to use and which ones to avoid.

6. Get trained

Most sites will give you some guidance on how to use their basic features. Don't rush into posting your profile before you've read through their frequently asked questions. Understanding how the site works at the beginning will save you a lot of frustration in the long run.

7. Take it Slow

Online dating sites offer the ability to date from the comfort of your own living room. It can be wonderful getting to know someone over email and phone conversations before you take the leap to meet in person. Before you rush to meet someone in person, take advantage of the opportunity to build a strong foundation. It will make the face-to-face meeting that much more exciting.

8. Keep it enjoyable

Above all else, enjoy yourself and don't take the process too seriously. Most people have a lot of fun dating online - the key is to keep it light and uncomplicated.

Dating Fabulous After 40

By Nancy Nichols

First, our goal here is not to endlessly date men. No, our mission is to learn how to date as charming, vivacious, intelligent older women who are looking for true love within a committed relationship.

I am a divorced 59-year old woman who understands wholeheartedly the discouraging challenges of dating after 40. It wasn't my desire to reenter the callous, combative dating single world, but it seemed the better alternative to living a lifeless, loveless, lonely existence with a non-communicating, insensitive, neglectful husband. So here I am, divorced again, alone and struggling with my relationship marketability as a 50+year old woman.

This is what I have learned in the past years: It is emotional suicide to try to compete with the skinner, bouncier, wrinkle-free younger woman who looks marvelous with no make-up, no bra and no modesty in her extremely low-slung jeans with a seductive pink thong peering from underneath. As for myself, I have cellulite bubbles, wings that won't fly and a bosom that begs for a boob job.

All in all, I am an attractive 59-year old woman. But in the past, it was my lifetime of negative self-criticisms that chipped away at my self-worth, mutilated my confidence and sabotaged my chances of attracting a man who would love and value me as a beautiful mature woman.

Five years ago, I stumbled onto a dating concept that lead me to believe that I am a seasoned, sophisticated babe and any man would be lucky to have me. Over the years I have acquired depth of wisdom, intelligence and poise; I have developed the ability to communicate with and understand my man, earn a nice paycheck, be a spectacular social butterfly, live my life fearlessly and at the end of the day relax, laugh and enjoy a Grande margarita with my equally awe-inspiring girlfriends.

My message to the mature divorced, widowed or single woman who struggles with low self-esteem issues in her quest to find ever-lasting love is this: Never compare yourself to another woman. It will erode your self-confidence. Stop concentrating on what you are not, and instead take an inventory of all the wonderful, enduring qualities you have earned in the last twenty plus years. Most importantly, realize that you were born with special talents, abilities and a unique personality that were intended to manifest itself in a powerful, beautiful mature woman.

It is the culmination of our life's experiences--good, bad and indifferent--that make us who we are today and it is the experiences that perhaps hurt us the most, the ones we survived emotionally, that have molded our personal strength. Understanding this can inspire us to correct the negative attitudes and behavior that impede our ability to be confident, self-reliant, poised women--if only we will allow it.

Dating Advice for Boomer Women - Can You Get Stale on Match?

By Ronnie Ann Ryan

The other day my client Cheryl asked me if after a year on Match, was she now considered stale?

I thought this was a fascinating question. How long does it take before you should switch sites to be considered new again? I responded by asking a few questions:

  • Was her profile still getting viewed?
  • Was she still getting email from men?
  • Had she been making an changes or updates to her profile?
  • Was she sick of the whole thing and thinking she needed a break for emotional reasons?

  • Cheryl answered yes to the first three and no to the fourth. Well then, she's not stale is she? Here are four tips to ensure your profile keeps working for you and continues to attract men:

    1) Change something small every week or two. This will help to keep you at the top of the list and make the algorithms think your profile is new.

    2) When you get your photos taken, don't post them all. You only need two or three up at a time, a head shot, a full-body shot and something else. Save those others so you can change pictures as time moves on. For example, if your hit rate slows down - new pictures could beef things up again.

    3) Change your headline. Try something wacky, catchy or unusual. Pick a couple of adjectives and put them together in unlikely combinations. Something like Dancing Kayaker, Red-Headed N Green-Minded, Easy-Going Golfer...

    4) Recently, I was listening to a podcast about Internet dating suggesting that you should change sites every month to stay fresh. That's a bit excessive if you ask me. But you may want to change after two or three months. Or you could add a second site if your profile traffic slows significantly. For monetary reasons, you can always hide your profile for a while if it's cheaper to pay for the long haul.

On the other hand, if you are unsatisfied with your results and tired of the process, then maybe it's time to take a break. But not for too long. Time off can help you shift your mind set and renew your willingness to keep going. Too much time off can get to be a habit. If you need to cool it for a month or two, go ahead. But as time marches on, it becomes harder and harder to break non-dating inertia. You may slip back into old habits and attitudes that you worked hard to break free of.

A short breather will energize you and allow you to relax before returning to meeting new people. If this sounds like something you need - go ahead and take a break. Try some other methods like speed dating or singles dances. Or take time off from dating completely. Just keep your goal of finding love in sight and remember, Mr. Right isn't likely to knock on your door. You'll need to cross his path to find him, so staying active is crucial to your dating success.

    Baby Boomer Dating In 2008

    By Kerry Pettigrew

It's been awhile since we looked at dating, singles scene, and other related issues for Baby Boomers and those over or close to 50. So,lets explore these topics a little today.

An interesting way to begin the research today was to just Google: "Baby Boomer Dating." I've also tried searching Over 50's Dating, etc. and you get about the same results. Of coarse, you pull about 897,000 results on this topic and it's interesting to explore some of the popular sites. I think that most of us, for some time now, rely on the computer and various search engines to research a multitude of topics. From buying an I-Pod or car, to researching travel costs and destinations, the power and usability can't be beat. It's a natural place to begin a study of many or most topics that you can think of.

As I have shared in earlier articles, I think there are many quality online dating or introduction sites that can help us Baby Boomers reach out and find someone. Certainly there are as many reasons and motivations for finding someone as there are people looking. It can be for casual friendships or more serious relationships. Certainly a degree of caution and common sense is always in order, and for some more socially outgoing Baby Boomers, this just may not be for them.

For me, as a more introverted and a bit of a socially challenged Boomer, sites like E-Harmony and most recently an Asian Dating site, have given me exactly what I was looking for. This is a process that takes a certain amount of time, money, and patience. To hurry the process would be at your own peril. I really do recommend searching your heart and soul and getting to know yourself first before embarking on a serious search for that special someone. This usually involves some looking back at previous relationships (marriages ?) to see what went wrong. When, or if possible, ask yourself why. Oftentimes close friends and family can see things about you that you can't or won't see. Their opinions and reflections should be sought after and valued.

Though it may sound a bit cold and detached, consider somewhat of a shopping list approach (written and/or mental) as to just what you are looking for in a potential long-term mate. (husband, wife, or just friend) At the same time, you might make a list of your own personality traits, strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes, etc. to use for comparison and introspection. Try to be as brutally honest with and about yourself as you possibly can. Certainly the process of really knowing ourselves is a lifetime process as we oftentimes struggle to learn from our mistakes and not go out and make the same one(s) again.

Also, try not to be to too hard on yourself. We all will make mistakes from time to time and we all should know that when we do take chances and reach out to someone, it will not be without a degree of risk. While we can take some measures to minimize that risk, it can never be completely eliminated. It sort of reminds me of my days doing sports in high school and college and the phrase:"No Pain,No Gain." Well, in this case, the pain can be heartache and/or bank account pain when we recover from a broken relationship or from something we did that we thought was from a bad decision.

So, look for fun and adventure as you may. Take a chance from time to time, and, most of all, have fun. While exercising a degree of care and caution, try not to be so overly careful and cautious that you never leave your house or even try to meet someone new.

Reach out and touch someone. Reach out and take a chance.

Starting A New Relationship With A Man - How To Date A Man And Give The Relationship A Chance

    By Connie Ragen Green

Starting a new relationship with a man you don't know very well can be both exciting and frustrating. You may have some difficulty communicating in the beginning and that can lead to problems down the road. The first few months of the relationship will set the tone for the rest of your relationship, if you can stay on track in the beginning. Here is how to make sure you give a new relationship the chance to succeed.

    • Spend time getting to know this man. Find out what he is interested in and why. Ask him open-ended questions that allow him to elaborate. If you can get him to tell you why he enjoys basketball and hates rock and roll music, you will understand him more completely.
    • Be very careful about jumping into a physical relationship too quickly. Once you turn your relationship into a sexual one, everything changes drastically. It is then difficult to get to know this new man on a level that will help you turn it into a lasting relationship.
    • Make sure that you know yourself well enough to be able to tell if this new man is right for you. Make a list of your non-negotiable items and stick to your beliefs and intuition.
    • Talk openly as often as possible. Avoid strictly dinner and movie dates in favor of dates that allow you to interact and talk throughout the time you have together. This will help you to get this man to tell you more about his likes and dislikes so that you will have a better chance of knowing if this is a good situation for you to continue and pursue.

Starting a new relationship will be much easier if you ask questions and continue to learn about the new man in your life.

And now I invite you to learn more about how to give your new relationship a chance by visiting http://www.StartingANewRelationship.com to find out how to turn dating into a long-term relationship.

    Adult Dating Tips

    By Lisa Findle

Sure dating is easy for kids to do, but what about adults? You thought you were nervous as a teenager? Well as you get older, it seems dating not only gets harder, but you get more nervous and more anxious. Well here are a few dating tips you can use and remember easily to help you get over your fears, and find the perfect someone.

Always make sure you dress to impress, but don't over do it. Comfort and style, all in one. Maybe for women a nice long skirt with a low cut shirt, and for men a comfortable pair of trousers with a stylish collar golf t-shirt. This will make the date seem casual, yet personal. Causal allows you to talk about a wider range of topics, and to feel more comfortable, and personal lets everyone around you know you are on a date.

Keep up-to-date on your current events, so you will have something to talk about. Also, ensure you are in the know about all the adult health concerns that are around these days. Safety first, of course.

Plan a date that starts earlier on in the evening, or maybe even the afternoon. As a teenager, dates will usually take place at night, but as an adult, you want to get to know this person more than just a fling. This is why afternoon or early evening dating is so important. Get to know your partner in daylight where you can see them for who they really are.

Do something fun. Go bowling, or play pool. An activity where she gets the chance to be cute and bubbly, and something where he gets the chance to help her out if she needs it! Also, an activity where communication will occur and maybe even some laughing and jokes! A date like a movie won't go over very well for adults as you need to talk to each other to get to know each other!

Don't forget, even though you are adults, you're not dead either! Go dancing, have a few drinks, and share many romantic nights! If the date does happened to follow back to your place, then so be it! Have fun with it, and be sure to make it a very comfortable encounter for both of you. May be best to clean up before you go on your date.

Cook your guest breakfast in the morning. This is a great way of telling them they are welcome in your home, and you really enjoyed having them there. This way there is no awkwardness in the morning, just smiles! Your date will most likely call back if they are comfortable.

These are just a few dating tips for the older crowd. Keep it cool and have a good time. If it works out, then it great! If not, then it must not have meant to be. Enjoy dating and enjoy each other. Stick to people who have things in common with you, and will can't loose!

Dating Advice for Boomers - Do You Believe There's No Love for You?

    By Ronnie Ann Ryan

Do you suffer from "There's No Love for Me" Syndrome? This whoa-is-me outlook on love includes the following eight limiting beliefs:

    1. All the good men (women) are taken.
    2. Love doesn't really exist or last.
    3. Who would want me? I'm too old, fat, unattractive, problematic, dull, etc.
    4. Men (women) can't be trusted - they're all scoundrels.
    5. I'll never find the right one for me.
    6. I'm too busy to date.
    7. I can't remember how to flirt or connect with men (women).
    8. Love is pain, so I want neither.

We've all heard these beliefs or said them ourselves because they are so prevalent today. Personally I think that's a sad statement. For whatever reason, as a society, a lot of Americans have become more and more isolated. So many of us work very hard, live at light speed cramming in too many responsibilities and taking little time out for ourselves.

But, self care and time out are crucial for a healthy, balanced life. And personal playtime or socializing is just as crucial. While you can live a full and joyous life solo, if you long for love, you'll need to do something about it to make it happen.

If you suffer from "There's No Love for Me" Syndrome, here is one surefire way to turn things around. Start noticing happy couples. Yes they do exist! You might encounter them at the movies, at the grocery store, out to dinner, or walking down the street. Setting your internal radar on finding happy couples is one of the most powerful ways to re-wire your subconscious mind AND turn your dating karma around.

Countless people hold these limiting beliefs, so if these sound all too familiar, you are in no way alone! And sometimes just acknowledging this by itself can help to dissipate this negative outlook on love. In addition, when you start seeing happy couples, it refutes these negative thoughts, so you'll automatically have a much harder time hanging on to them and they can start to melt away.

I wouldn't do this dating coaching work if I didn't believe down to the core of my soul that finding love IS POSSIBLE! I turned these thoughts around for myself and found my husband. Every day another one of my clients makes this dramatic shift and their love life starts to blossom. Why not join the fun? See for yourself that love is out there for you!

Online Dating Safety Part 1 - Protect Your Identity And Personal Information

    By Adam Till

Few people have the time or the desire to spend night after night at bars or clubs looking for romance. For many, online dating sites have become a convenient alternative. Online dating has a reputation for being dangerous, but it needn't be unsafe at all. If a few precautions are taken, it can be just as safe to meet your potential soulmate online as it is to meet him or her at a nightclub. One of the most important rules to remember when using an online dating service is to keep your personal identity and information hidden.

    Use a Free Email Account:

Use a free email account when registering at online dating sites, and check the box to keep your address hidden if that is not the default setting. Use a separate email account for dating purposes, and remove your name from the outgoing field of your emails. Using your home or work email address can be dangerous, as it will not take a predator much effort to track down your home telephone number and street address with that information.

Do Not Give Out Personal Information:

Until you have met your date face-to-face, and feel confident that he or she is who they claim to be, do not share any personal information with that person. Personal information that should be protected includes anything that might reveal your true identity, such as your home address, place of work, or places that you frequent, such as gyms or parks. Never reveal the names or ages of your children, and feel free to slightly alter the truth about your career if revealing that information would make it possible for someone to locate your place of employment.

Use a Cell Phone and Block Your Phone Number:

When numbers are exchanged, do not give out your home telephone number. Use a cell phone, preferably a prepaid phone, and block the number before calling your potential date. Whenever possible, do not give out any number at all, but instead ask for your date's contact number and do the dialing yourself.

    Be Careful During Your Conversations:

You can easily reveal too much personal information about yourself without realizing it. A simple statement, such as "I am going for a walk to Phil's Bakery," will let a possible predator know that you live within walking distance of that particular bakery. Combined with other information, it can lead someone directly to your home. Pay close attention to the information you share, even when it seems innocent and harmless.

Over 40 and Fabulous - Dating Advice for Women

    By Pam Baldwin

Dating over the age of forty can be a challenge for some women, but it can be made easier by following some simple advice. First, women should always dress their age. It's fine to dress like a twenty year old when you are twenty years old, but if you're forty, then you should embrace it rather than resist it.

Next, a woman should always try to act her age. When we're young, we often wish we were older, and when we get older, we often pine for the good old days. This is counterproductive and pointless. A woman should be proud of the age she is, and should not try to act like anything or anyone she is not.

Sometimes older women make the mistake of wanting to mother the men they date. This is especially common if the man in the relationship is younger than the woman. However, you should always treat your partner as an equal and not speak down to him nor nag him.

Women should embrace physical intimacy and romance as they age. There is no need to be shy about your body, even if it doesn't look quite the same as it did when you were in your twenties. Be bold, adventurous, and passionate - he'll love it and so will you!

Women in their forties have more life experience, wisdom, and insight than their younger counterparts. They should embrace this, and never be ashamed to voice an opinion or show their intelligence. Men like women who have more on their mind than just shopping!

If a woman over forty is having difficulty finding a man to date, she might want to rethink her priorities. Sometimes we hang onto standards that, while they may have been reasonable in our twenties, are simply irrational in our forties. For example, you might have to be willing to date a man who's previously been married, and why not? Sometimes it's the forty year old bachelors who have all the emotional baggage!

Don't be afraid to let a man sweep you off your feet. Just because you're over forty doesn't mean that you can't flirt, have fun, and be wooed. Let a man treat you like a princess; you deserve it! Just remember to treat him like a prince!

Perhaps the most important tip of all is to be yourself. This is true at any age. Some older women seem to have a lot of insecurity wrapped up in their age, which is silly. They should be proud of who they are. Nothing is a bigger turn-on for a man than a woman who is confident!

Crucial Dating Do's and Don'ts For Women Over 40

    By Pam Baldwin

Dating for women over 40 may be hard enough as it is, but dating tips for women over 40 is even harder to find. One of the very first dating tips for women over 40 is to dress your age. One may feel vulnerable when they think that their young man will run off with a much prettier, younger woman. This does not mean that you ought to wear the clothes she does. Wear what fits your age group and what compliments your features. Do not feel the need to wear tighter and provoking clothes.

The second dating advice for women over forty is to act your age. One may feel intimated by the presence of younger people, but this does not mean that dancing on tables and gulping down as much liquor as possible is necessary. Act as a woman who is forty would, with grace, confidence, intelligence, and sophistication.

Remembering your part in the relationship is the third dating tip for women over 40. The woman may be the older one in the relationship, but this does not mean that she should take on the motherly role. Women may be nurturing by instinct, but it is important to remember that the man did not pursue you because he wants a second mother. Realize that you are once again in the relationship state like you when you were in your twenties. Do not command the younger male for he will run faster than you think.

Dating tips for women over 40 also includes the importance of acknowledging your sexual instincts. Live up to the mystical tales of how women over 40 are cougars. A woman over 40 may be experienced and this is something to take in stride. Show the young male just how wild and intimate a woman who is older can be. This will surprise him and have him forget those who came before you. Anything that was sexual before you will dim into the back of his memory.

Another worthy dating tip for women over 40 is to acknowledge your intelligence. Show him how much you differ on the educational level in regards to younger females. Intelligence is one of the sexiest things a woman can possess and something many young females may lack. Acknowledge the fact that you may have a degree or two in something and what you speak of is worthy enough. This glorifies your presence in his mind while eliminating the young females who may have had nothing better than shopping for shoes on their minds.

Reevaluate your standards when it comes to relationships and love is one of the most skipped dating tips for women over 40. There are women who are over 40 and have yet to be married. Their preference leads them to want a man who has not been married so far either. While this is likely in a young male in this twenties, it may become harder to find as the age gap between a woman over 40 and a man narrows. A man who is never married may have more relationship baggage packed with him than a man who has been married.

The ability to let yourself be swept off your feet is another dating tip for women over 40. You playing hard to get or flirting may feel as things that are out of nature once you are over 40. However, they are crucial. This enables the man to see that he still has to put in his best effort in hopes of obtaining your love. Secondly, this lets him know that you know what you want and that just because you are over 40 does mean that you will fall for the first man that glances towards you.

Dating tips for women over 40 involves one of the most clich้ sayings. The importance of being yourself is so undeniable. As a woman over 40 love your body, mind and spirit. Being comfortable in your own skin easies so much tension and stress about dating a younger man. Furthermore, loving yourself gives you the confidence and tenderness that can only come with age. With being yourself, you will allow the man to see you for who you are, a woman who is only as old and bold as she thinks she is.

    The Final Solution to Dating

    By Steve Sokolowski

I run a blog where I discuss the topic of the many games people play in the dating arena. I've posted hundreds of articles, many of which point out many of these troubles. Even if you haven't read the blog, you probably are aware of some of these schemes. While I wish it were easy to sum everything up into one neat, overlying problem, it's not that simple. Let me point out just a few of the issues.

For one, there's a definite lack of respect in dating nowadays. People don't even care about their partners enough to treat them as they deserve to be treated. Gossip, ridiculously high expectations, and rejections by ignorance are only some of the examples in this area. Grandparents are always carrying on about how today's generation has such a lack of respect. They talk about how, in their day, people cared about others and banded together through difficult problems. Why do they talk about these things? Because they're right! Through every activity in which I've been involved, I've encountered this problem. I'm tired of working for a hundred hours on a video project when the president of the organization receives but doesn't bother to even reply to your E-Mails asking him to review it. I'm sick of being ostracized from groups because I don't care to participate in their petty disagreements. And I'm exhausted after people expect me to work to death in volunteer organizations!

There are always exceptions to this rule, and I'm sure that there are many people who do have a great deal of respect for both their peers and their elders. Unfortunately, the majority, or at least the majority with the most influence, simply don't care.

Second, nobody is honest with themselves, let alone anyone else. Dating has turned into a torrent of backstabbing of which even Mark Burnett would be proud. Asking someone out is nearly impossible, because the gossip about it has already spread to a thousand people before you make the move. Then, when a rejection occurs (even if it's not rude), the rejector spreads rumors around to all his/her friends that cause them to completely ignore you, refusing to invite you to parties or even to initiate conversations with you. The biggest insult is that even if you asked point-blank, you'd still never get a truthful answer as to why such harm was directed towards you.

As if what occurs after a rejection isn't enough, people attempt to steal others' girl/boyfriends. One day, things are going well, and the next you find yourself wondering what happened to the relationship that was forming - that is, until you notice that person spending a lot of time with who you thought was your best friend. No explanation is offered, not even a "good-bye."

Third, people are not looking for someone who spends his or her time working to get ahead instead of getting flat-out drunk, who doesn't curse at or ignore his or her mate, and who actually makes time for whatever is occurring between them (whether it be a full-fledged relationship or just plain sex). They say they're looking for these things, but in reality, they're attracted to people with the attributes described above. "Confidence" is not the answer to the equation. Assuming they both possess the same level of "confidence," the above-described person would win every time over the "warm, caring, and intelligent" (wo)man that people claim is the ideal mate.

The list of problems goes on. You might be intrigued to hear that while the problems seem innumerable, I propose they can all be rectified with the simplest of solutions. There's no danger involved, nobody has to lead radical changes, and it doesn't involve an "impossible" fight against biology.

I simply propose for men to stop asking women out.

Not for the rest of your life, but for just a short time, say, a month. It's not impossible, and you won't have to do it as much after the month passes. While there are a few (rare) exceptions, the vast majority of women don't ask out men 50% of the time. Women do have the advantage in dating, and it's time to level the playing field. Sure, talk with women as friends, and if someone initiates a conversation with you, then definitely reciprocate. However, let the woman ask you out if she's interested, no matter how attractive she is to you.

Some women have never asked anyone out in their lives. It's no wonder why these women continually treat men like they're lower beings. If they had to put up with the rejections that most men do all the time, I guarantee that they would have more respect for men. Women would no longer put up with moving from guy to guy based on who was interested in her at the moment. And spreading gossip about potential romantic interests certainly isn't going to help one's prospects.

People need to realize that humans, for all their ancestry, are not monkeys or horses or rabbits. They're humans, who can think and act for themselves.

Men have so much more capacity in the dating arena than constantly looking for sex at all costs, if they would only exercise it. It's time to stop being prisoners to so-called "biology." Women have the same urges men do, and they should do half the work, not 10% or 20%.

There are a lot of "seduction communities" on the Internet that teach men how to "seduce" women. I don't know of any similar organization that teaches women how to impress men with the same fervor.

There's my proposal. I don't think it's hard to implement. Imagine if all the men even at one corporation or university decided to ban together. Laziness won't be a problem, becausenobody even has to do anything. It's time to change our distorted culture. All I'm suggesting is to promote equality. Is that such a bad thing?

Secret Dating Tips - Top Secrets of a Sex Magnet

    By Ben Anderson

In any group of girls, there's usually one who's getting all the attention. You know, she's really animated, talking a lot, outgoing, a lot of guys are hitting on her. You can bet some of the other girls in the group are kind of shy and are feeling left out and a bit jealous - and they're dying for their share of attention! Give it to them, and it will be like throwing them a lifeline - they'll cling on to you to save them from the horror of being a chick in the shadow of some other woman!

    TIP 1
Here's what you do: Scope out the girl in the group who seems kind of shy, who's looking around for attention but can't seem to get any because her girlfriend is dancing on the tabletops or just being really loud and boisterous - and being hit on by every guy in the place. Go up to your shy girl and say, "I just can't believe it." She'll say, "What?" "I can't believe why everyone is making such a fuss over your friend when there's such a beautiful woman sitting over here in the corner. We need to do something about that. Can I join you?" She'll be very flattered, and thankful someone noticed her! Ask her name, give her yours, and offer to buy a drink. Make sure you don't say anything negative about her loud, flirty friend - this will turn her off. Give her the attention she's been craving, tell her she's got beautiful eyes. Ask her about herself, what she does for a living, where she lives - women love to talk as much as they love compliments, and they love it when someone takes an interest. And after seeing her friend be the one to get the spotlight all night, she'll lap up the attention like crazy. Tell her you enjoyed meeting her and would like to take her out sometime, then get her number. She'll be all too happy to give it - handing over a phone number will show her friends that she's getting male attention, too! She'll be thankful you saved her from sitting unnoticed, and you'll be on your way to one very hot date with a very grateful gal!

    TIP 2
Grocery stores are great places to meet women - they gotta buy food, right? And it offers a great opportunity for you to seem like a helpless male who needs a little feminine wisdom to get him through.

Here's the plan: Go up to a woman who's browsing meat (or looking at fruit or reading labels on laundry detergent or whatever). For instance, if it's meat, look over the meat, too, picking some up and reading the labels then setting it back. Turn to her and say, "I'm hopeless at this, I can never pick good steaks. It's always too tough or too fatty or just not fresh. Can you help me out?" Women love giving advice, and you just gave her a golden opportunity she can't refuse. She'll give some tips. Ask her questions, like what color to look for, if you should buy leaner cuts, etc. When she's done and you've selected some steaks or a package of hamburger or whatever, say, "Thanks so much, I really appreciate this. This may be the first good meal I've had in ages. Let me repay you - let me make you dinner. You already know I've got good steak." She'll be a little taken by surprise, but very pleased with the attention. Say, "By the way, I'm Doug. And what can I call you?" She may accept the dinner invitation and if so, great, get the number and start planning that menu! But since she doesn't really know you well, she may hesitate to go to your house for a meal. So if she seems a bit reluctant, say, "You know, I know you really don't know me and might be shy about coming to my place for dinner so soon. So how about I take you out for a nice meal, and then you can see what a harmless guy I am, and maybe later I'll cook you that dinner. Come on, you've got nothing to lose and you'll gain a free dinner at the restaurant of your choice. Besides, I owe you. Your advice has saved me from a lifetime of eating bad cuts of meat. You've got to let me pay you back." She'll be flattered and laughing at this point, and most likely writing down those digits for you!

If you met talking over fruit or laundry detergent, you obviously can't offer to cook that up for her (well, you could, but you'll score crazy points instead of brownie points). But you can still thank her and offer to pay her back by going for a cup of coffee or dinner sometime. Play up how she's saved you from wearing horribly dingy clothes by helping with that detergent or saved you from catching God knows what kind of rare tropical disease imparted by eating squishy, bad fruit. Make a joke, get her laughing, and get those digits! Supermarket scores are great, because women love it when they think a man who was just minding his business, doing shopping, saw her and was so taken that he couldn't help but make a move. Female vanity has its uses, fellas!

    TIP 3
Some women are just out there waiting to be hit on, and they're sending signals. You just have to pick up on the signals, then striking up a conversation is a piece of cake because that's what the woman was waiting for from anybody. It might as well be you!

Go someplace where people hang out, like a bar or bookstore. If there's a woman at the bar who's just sort of looking bored, who keeps looking around the room or even getting up to walk around the room, that woman is looking for action. Go up to her and comment on something about the place, like "Hi. It sure is quiet in here tonight." Or "Hi, I can't believe how packed this place is." She was just waiting for someone to talk to, and this is all she'll need to be off and running. Let her lead and follow along! Maybe throw in a comment like, "What's a beautiful woman like you doing sitting here all alone?" Don't say that at first, because women hear cheesy lines like that all the time. But if you say it a few minutes after conversation has started, it erases any doubt from her mind as to whether you're hitting on her or you're just someone who's making idle conversation but not looking to meet. Give her the cheesy pick-up line that includes a compliment - and women love compliments! - and she'll know what you're after.

At a bookstore, check out the chicks over by the magazine racks. If there's one who just keeps browsing titles, idly picking up a mag and flipping through the pages, all the while looking around to check out the other people there - that's a gal just waiting for someone to take notice of HER. Do it, and you'll find a woman ready and willing to talk to you - and probably hoping you'll ask for her number!

Just go up to her, tell her the magazine she's reading looks interesting, or that you already read that and there's a great article in there, or (if it's a woman's magazine) that you've been tempted to read "Cosmo" or whatever it is just to see what kind of stuff those mags tell women. Ask her if she thinks men would find any useful information about women in there. She'll be off and running with stories of how silly the articles are, or how they might be interesting to men. Talk a while, and then ask her to sit down for coffee to chat more. Then ask for her number. She was looking to meet, so she'll be more than willing to hand over those digits!

    TIP 4
Think you've got to be great looking to get a woman's attention? Wrong! If you know what to say and do, you can have any woman dying to be at your side. This is a little devious, but what's the harm? Try this: Go up to a woman and ask her, "How's work, Susan?" She'll tell you she's not Susan. "Oh, you're not Susan Moore who works at the Citizens' Bank?" She'll say something like, "No, I'm Karen Miller that works at Landover Real Estate." Then just say, "Oh, well I'm Doug Jones (offer to shake hands), and I'm sorry for the mistake." Smile and walk away.

In two or three days, send flowers to her at her work place. Include a card saying, "We just met for a moment, but I can't stop thinking about you. Meet me for a drink after work? Doug." Include your phone number, too, just in case she wants to call and thank you before you get in touch with her. And believe me, she'll want to thank you. And you'll score major brownie points because she'll be thrilled to get flowers at work - all the other women in the office will be buzzing around wondering who sent them, and the object of your desire will be excited by the surprise and by the attention from her co-workers. Give her a call later that day after you know the flowers have arrived, and say, "Hi, this is Doug. Remember me, I'm the one at the dry cleaners (or wherever you met her) who mistook you for Susan from the bank? Did you get the flowers?" She'll say yes, tell you they're beautiful and unexpected. Say, "I know this is a little crazy, out of the blue and all, but you just seemed so nice, and I was kicking myself that I didn't ask you out before. I know we don't really know each other, but I'd like to change that. How about going for that drink later?"

She may not remember you well, after all, she only met you for a minute, but man oh man is she ever going to be flattered! Someone is telling her she's so hot that after a few seconds in her presence, he can't stop thinking about her and is sending flowers?! Women eat that stuff up, they think flowers are so thoughtful and romantic! How could she turn down a drink with someone so thoughtful, someone who made her feel gorgeous? She can't! Besides, she'd feel ungrateful if she didn't at least give you a shot. This is a piece of cake pick-up technique, and it makes you seem like Prince Charming! Like taking candy from a baby, fellas, trust me.

    TIP 5
Check this out - You want hot babes dying to give you their number? Hell, yeah, you do! Tired of always having to chase after them? Of course you are! So why not get them to come to you? There's a simple trick that has the babes flocking to you. It's as easy as a walk in the park - if you bring a dog along for the stroll, that is.

Yeah, you've heard about dogs being a babe magnet - because it's true! Time to start believing it and try it out for yourself. And if you don't have a dog, be the nice guy and offer to take a friend's pooch for a walk once in a while. The dog doesn't have to belong to you to have that same magnetic effect on women.

It works like this: Woman sees man with cute, furry dog. Woman can't resist going up to pet and talk to dog. Woman is feeling all warm and fuzzy and friendly and starts asking man about dog. "He's so cute! What's his name? What kind is he? Can I pet him?" All you have to do is be ready with the basic info. Like, "Thanks, his name's Butch. He's no kind, just a mutt, aren't ya boy? But he's a sweet mutt. Go ahead; he loves to be petted by beautiful women."

From here, ask if she has pets, learn about them, what kind, their names. If she doesn't have a dog now, ask if she ever did. Find out about it, then ask her advice on your dog. Like, "Since you used to have a dog, maybe you'll know this, but Butch wants to bark all night long. Any idea what I should do?" This doesn't have to be the exact question, just pick something where she can give advice and an opinion. She'll feel needed, and you just have to act interested and impressed with the advice. If she never had a dog, share a fuzzy story about the dog and why they make good pets. Then say, "Ya know, Butch is really digging you. He never takes to strangers like this. I think he'd be really disappointed if he didn't get to see you again. Care to join us here for a picnic tomorrow?" Now you've been sweet and flattering and funny in one fell stroke, and the woman will be eating out of the palm of your hand. Get her number, set a date. Just pack some wine and a blanket with that picnic basket, and you'll be ready to rock!

    TIP 5
Ok dudes, if you want to meet the ladies, sometimes it helps to get a little extreme. Unique can be a good thing.

Go to a clothing store, like a department store that sells clothes for men and women. Find a spot in the men's section that's nearest to the women's clothes. Look through the racks, grabbing a few things you'd like to try on. When you spot a babe you'd like to meet, make your move.

Go over to her, and say, "Excuse me, but you look like you really know how to dress. I've been shopping all day, and I just can't find anything. You obviously know about clothes, could you give me an opinion?" You can say you're trying to find something for work, like dressy casual, or just say you're terrible at picking out clothes and ask her to help you find the right shirts and jeans or suit or whatever it is that you really are interested in buying. Just pick the type of clothes that you would want to wear with this woman on your first date - if you want to go to a movie, nice jeans and shirt would do, or if you want to impress her with a nice restaurant or the theater, be shopping for this kind of outfit. Because a date is what you're really going to need the clothes for, but she doesn't know it yet!

So you've complimented her taste in clothes - score brownie points! - and you've asked her advice - score more points, because women love to give advice! Women also love to shop, and now they get to help you shop. That's an offer too good to refuse.

So show her what you've picked out, ask what she thinks of the styles and colors. Maybe she'll go and pick some different things from a rack. Then say, "This is so great, would you mind if I tried these on so you could tell me what you think?" Women love that, too! Why do you think they go to stores in groups? They want to try on clothes and they want to help their friends pick stuff out, too. It's like 2-for-1 shopping, a double fix!

So once she settles on what you look best in, thank her. "Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. I mean it, you've really helped me a lot. Let me make it up to you. How about dinner next week? Come on, you already know I've got something decent to wear."

She'll be flattered and laughing at your joke. And she'll be thrilled she found a man who let her pick out his clothes! You're in, and you won't have the added stress of figuring out what to wear on the first date! This is a 2-for-1 special for you, too!

And one last thing, be ready with an explanation of why you're using this particular Laundromat if it's not in your neighborhood, just in case she asks. Make sure you pick one that's not too far from home, and just say the one in your neighborhood was full and you didn't want to wait for a machine. Now grab some change, a pile of dirty clothes, and get ready to bag that babe!

    The Right Dating Strategy

    By Yair Czitrom

So, you have decided to do it. Get out there to the cyber space and try you luck. I mean, many people do it and talk about it, so why not, right?

Yea, you are right, but a good plan will help you get the results YOU want.

1.Get some great digital photos of yourself - No matter what the sites tell you, this is not optional. A photo is worth 50,000 words online. If you want t o do better then that, upload a voice or video message. You will get MUCH more results.

2.Write up a profile It is a good idea to have something prepared in advance. Write up a list of what you are looking for in a partner, a list of important things about your personality (especially the positive stuff), and come up with a snappy username and title.

3.Send emails - Sure, you could just put up a profile and wait for folks to write you. But you will get much better results if you take the initiative.

So say you have found someone who looks really good to you. How do you initiate contact? You could send them message, try the instant-message, or send a note or wink, which are pre-written little emails that express your interest but not much else

What should you say? Here is where it is important to read the persons profile. It gives you things to talk about. Then, a good rule of thumb is compliments and questions. An earnest compliment on the persons accomplishments, writing style, or life goals will say a lot. If you are emailing a woman, avoid talking too much about her beauty; you may come off as shallow, or trying to get into her pants. Men may respond better to this sort of flattery. People love to talk about themselves, so ask her something about an aspect of her profile: her work, her location, her hobbies. Ask open-ended questions. Do not give out your personal email address or phone number in this initial email; wait until you are both interested and it is apparent that it is going somewhere. Keep it short and light-one to two paragraphs should do it, and leave heavy topics for later. And sign your real first name.

Guys: Women are not necessarily into the strong silent type. They want someone who is enthusiastic, active, and warm. If you are not any of those things, for God is sake, pretend to be.

Take note: our email system does not save your messages forever. You might need to save them on your machine or print them out, lest they get deleted at some point. If you are in contact with a bunch of different people at once, devise a system to keep track of them. Once you start talking on the phone, take notes during the conversation. You can even capture IM logs for later perusal. If you are juggling several different prospects, this is really important.

    4. Have some fun - Yeah, I know you are looking for the future mother/father of your children, the person you hope to grow old with. The decisions you make could potentially affect the course of your life. But really, do not think about that. Just imagine you are going out bar-hopping, except that you are going to a magical bar which you can populate with precisely the kind of partner you like. Then have a great time.

Finally, if whatever you are trying does not seem to be working, revise your strategy. Einstein said, Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result.

Dating Advice for Men: Why Some Women Like 'Em Younger

    By D.M. Giolitto

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. Madonna and Guy Ritchie. Your old high school English teacher and... your best buddy?! Hey, it could happen. These days, if an older woman wants a baby, she can have one.

There will always be the Traditional Tina, scoping out an older fella whos "on her maturity level" as she likes to think- and who's willing to play provider. But what of the ever-growing population of footloose women with their crazy cradle-robbing ways? Is this another Maggie May, who, as Rod Stewart tells it, will "wreck your bed, and in the morning kick you in the head?" Or is she some lonely desperado, hoping to latch on to a kinder, gentler generation of men? Here are some insights as to why some women prefer to date younger guys.

Not every girl wants a father figure. Often, a man whos older than you assumes a protective and paternal role; and to many women, this is a real turn-off. Why? Well, for starters, we already have a daddy! Not to mention, the woman who holds a high-paying exec job Monday through Friday may have some trouble playing Helpless Heather on the weekends. She's used to taking care of herself, speaking on her own behalf, and yes, even paying her own way without the help of Daddy Warbucks.

Younger men are often better in bed. Ahh, the cruel irony of life. Remember sex with your college girlfriend? That 21-year-old fraidy cat is now a tigress of temptation. Something funny happens to women as they age. Their testosterone levels increase; oddly enough, around the same time that mens are plummeting. The hormone surge gives ladies a libido lift, which is why women in their 30s and 40s just want to get busy. Meanwhile, our same-age male counterparts are busy studying the inside of their eyelids. Need I say more?

Younger guys look up to an older, successful woman. Lets talk about those corporate power babes again. Sometimes, it's lonely at the top... but not when there's a starry-eyed cutie-pie smiling up at you! There's something to be said for having a younger guy who admires you for your accomplishments. It makes you feel great, and the sad fact is, you cant always get that kind of respect from an older man. Baby Boomers may love Donna Reed, but guys born later can understand and better appreciate women who go after their dreams.

The metrosexual male is our cup of tea. Nothing like having your boy over for some afternoon delight and finding out he borrowed your loofah in the shower. The New Generation of open-minded guys is A-OK in our book! This guy can whip up a Thai stir-fry using organic ingredients, grooms his fingernails and his toenails, is politically-correct to a fault, and wont eat Starkist if it might harm the baby dolphins. To the 40-something who grew up with Archie Bunker, he's a breath of fresh air.

Girls just want to have fun. Some of us are downright immature, and were not afraid to say it! Perhaps "young at heart" is the better term, but the point is this: some old gals really do just want to have fun. Lots of broads who are pushing fifty still rock out at concerts, drive 70 mph with the top down, stay out all night, flip people off when necessary, and generally wreak havoc. Thats not to say we cant find a man of ANY age to engage in juvenile antics with us... but, well, the younger ones just seem more willing to join in the fun.

Some women are late bloomers. Embarrassing as it may be, plenty of chicks spend the better part of their 20s mired in self-doubt and confusion. Instead of kicking back like they should have, the rainclouds of pessimism hung around to dampen their fun and turn them into neurotic freaks. Ten years later, some of those very same basketcases have mellowed into chill ladies who are just now ready to embrace life to the fullest. If this involves cavorting with young fellas in ways they never thought possible, all the better! Better late than never, right girls?

Guys in their prime are ohhhh, so fine. If you had to choose between a thick, juicy steak and some shriveled up beef jerky, which one would you pick? In the same way that men can't help looking at supple young girls, we ladies find ourselves drawn to guys under thirty. Younger men have tight bodies, bright eyes, great smiles, and usually a crowd of buddies to keep them laughing and pumped for excitement. What's the alternative? The balding bachelor with a beer gut who sits home smoking stogies and listening to Springsteen's Glory Days on repeat mode? No, thanks!

In all seriousness, it shouldnt matter the age of two people who mutually respect and enjoy each others company. We love who we love, not matter what their age or what they look like. If an older woman and a younger man feel comfortable having a relationship, then no one has the right to criticize them. To the lady who simply likes a quick fling with a hot young stallion? Heres to you, Mrs. Robinson.

    Win The Dating Game

    By Lori Grudzien

Why is it some people look at dating as a game while other look at it as serious "soul mate searching"? That all depends on what you searching for; a friend, a lover, or are you searching for a true lifetime commitment?

The existence of this game makes sense. Most people do not want their choice of mate to be the first person who comes along. So people explore various partners in hope of finding a good match. Some will be winners, but some will be losers in this game. Others who have played the game now have a clear idea of what they are looking for in a mate and are more inclined to settle down into a serious relationship. They key is to find someone who is at the same stage of the game as you are.

There are some people who believe they are ready to settle down but have not yet opened their minds and hearts to a real relationship. These people usually have rules that they believe they should adhere with when entering the dating world. While their intentions may be good, in their minds they have a picture of what their "perfect" soul mate will be. The problem is no one could possible ever match up to this so-called "perfect mate. So the question is are they in or out of the game? While they may truly feel ready to settle down, in reality they still date continuously trying to find the one that measures up to the standard they have set.

This brings me to a best selling book called "The Rules". This book explains how women should play hard to get if they want to get their guy. I know women who actually use this book as their guide to find the man of their dreams. They follow the advice on how to be mysterious and appear exciting, only to have it fall apart. So whats the problem?

Well when you believe you are ready for a serious relationship and instead of going into it honestly and openly you portray a character from this "dating guide", youre not being honest and are not being true to yourself. What happens when you fall for this person and want to become more available? What happens when youre tired of playing the role of the ever exciting date and you need to get real? If this relationship is ever going to evolve you have to be yourself sometime. Will your potential mate still be interested when youre suddenly available to spend every Friday night with them?

The answer is; before you can label where you are in the dating game you have to figure it out yourself. Real people want real relationships, not dates based on a set of rules and guidelines. Of course there are still general criteria people have when looking for a potential mate, such as, location, moral values etc.

Your journey will require the need to look within yourself, and discovering what you type of relationship you are truly in search of.

Am I Weird If I Date Online?

    By Devlyn Steele

True story: A few years back I was working with a client who had recently moved to Los Angeles. She was single, did not know many people in the big city, and felt a little lonely. I innocently suggested she give online dating a shot. It seemed like an easy and pressure-free way to meet people, and I had other clients who enjoyed their experience and were in good relationships as a result.

"What kind of desperate person do you think I am?!?" she snapped.

She apologized, but explained that she felt weird about online dating. This perked my curiosity, so later I asked some of my other clients if they ever tried it. Some only confessed after their faces turned three shades of crimson. Since I am a strong proponent of online dating, I dispel any stigma or embarrassment when I recommend it to my clients. This is what I tell them:

For many singles, life moves like Richard Petty around the Talladega Speedway. We change jobs every few years. We relocate more frequently. We cannot remember the last time we answered a phone with a cord. Even if time is not the issue, some single people cannot shake the feeling that everyone else is happy while they are always alone. We may look at online dating as an act of desperation, because normal people dont need something like that.

The simple fact is that you are not weird if you use an online dating service. We only feel weird when we think we are doing something outside the norm. Consider this: over 40 million people in the US access online dating websites every month. It is the fastest growing sector of online content. There is no reason to feel embarrassed, because if you date online you are actually part of a huge group.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to find someone special, or at the very least make some new friends, so why not use every resource available to you? You do not get extra points for meeting someone in a bar or while waiting for dry socks at the Laundromat. Does it matter to you how you met the important people already in your life? You probably barely even think about it.

By setting up a personal profile and a list of likes and dislikes, you invest time in yourself. More importantly, you are taking action by trying to improve yourself and your situation. You are putting yourself out there and taking control by refusing to be lonely and isolated.

I have found many advantages to the Internet. The anonymity of online dating allows you to roll out of bed, hair standing in ten different directions, breath smelling like Boston Harbor at low tide then click! You stumble on a person you will be dating in a few weeks. The cost compared to going out and searching is next to nothing. You can learn more about a persons interests to see if they mesh with yours. You do not have to deal with the harshness of rejection in person. You have a huge pool of people to explore (remember, 40 million!) from all walks-of-life, people you would never have the chance to meet within your neighborhood or small circle of friends.

There is also fraud and deception. You will probably come across a photo that looks eerily like Pamela Anderson right down to the copyright in the lower corner. Clients tell me about married people posing as single. Nevertheless, these issues of honesty exist both on and off-line, so do not let that stop you from finding the partner you want.

With 43% of the U.S. population being single and with so many single clients asking me about Internet dating, I began to put a guide together to help my clients use this service effectively and safely and avoid these pitfalls. I want everyone to find the happiness they deserve and want to make this Tool book available to everyone for Free! To get your free E-Book, Tools To Internet Dating go to TheRelationshipTools.com and get your copy today.

Dont be ashamed or afraid, learn the best and safest way to use the Internet to take control of your life and find the person you deserve!
